Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Summary — Read This First

Ride Helper sells a digital product: a software licence key delivered electronically, instantly and irreversibly. Nothing physical is shipped. Because delivery happens the moment payment succeeds, and because a delivered licence cannot be "returned", purchases are generally non-refundable once the key has been delivered and activated.

However, we do issue full refunds where the fault is ours or the payment system's. In summary:

2. Cancellation Policy

2.1 Before payment

You can cancel at any time before you complete the payment — simply close the Razorpay checkout page. Nothing is charged, no key is issued and no record is created on our side.

2.2 After payment, before activation

If your payment succeeded but you have not yet activated your licence key, you may cancel within 7 calendar days of purchase and receive a full refund. Email support@ridehelper.shop with the subject "Cancellation Request" and your Razorpay Payment ID. We will deactivate the key and process the refund.

2.3 After activation

Once a licence key has been activated, the digital service is considered delivered and consumed. The current billing cycle cannot be cancelled midway, and no refund is payable except in the eligible cases listed in section 3.

2.4 Stopping a Pro Monthly subscription

You can stop your Pro Monthly subscription at any time by not renewing, or by disabling the recurring mandate in your UPI app / bank / card settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current 30-day cycle; you keep full access until that date. No further amount is charged after cancellation. To cancel, email us or use the mandate/subscription controls in your payment app.

3. Eligible Refund Cases

A refund will be issued in the following circumstances:

1. Double or duplicate deduction. The amount was debited two or more times for a single purchase. The duplicate amount is refunded in full.
2. Non-delivery of the licence key. Payment succeeded but the activation key was not delivered within 48 hours because of a technical failure on our side, and you have notified us. Refund in full.
3. Wrong plan, key unused. You purchased the incorrect plan and the key has not been activated. Refund in full if requested within 7 calendar days.
4. Product does not function as described. The application materially fails to perform a core paid feature on a device that meets our published requirements (Android 7.0+, 2 GB RAM), and our support team could not resolve it within 7 days of your first report. Pro-rata refund for the unused period.
5. Material reduction of paid features. We remove a feature that was included in the plan you paid for. Pro-rata refund for the remaining period, or a replacement plan of equal value at your choice.
6. Service discontinued. We discontinue the application while your paid plan is still active. Pro-rata refund for the unused period.
7. Unauthorised transaction. A payment was made without the cardholder's or account holder's authority, verified with our payment processor. Refund in full.

4. Cases That Are Not Refundable

• A key that has been delivered and activated, where you simply changed your mind or no longer want the app.
• Dissatisfaction based on expectation rather than on a published feature — the features of each plan are listed on our Pricing page before purchase.
• A device that does not meet the published minimum requirements (below Android 7.0, or under 2 GB RAM).
• Loss of data caused by device loss, theft, damage, factory reset, operating-system upgrade or third-party software.
• Keys that have been shared, sold, resold, or used on more devices than your plan permits.
• Purchases made through an unauthorised reseller or a third-party website. Only purchases made directly on ridehelper.shop are covered by this policy.
• Refund requests raised after the claim window in section 5 has closed, unless the delay is due to circumstances reasonably beyond your control.
• Licences terminated by us for a breach of section 7 of our Terms & Conditions.

5. How to Request a Refund — Step by Step

What to include in your request

• Your full name and the email address used at checkout;
• Your Razorpay Payment ID (and the transaction date and amount);
• The plan you purchased;
• A short description of the issue, and any screenshot that supports it;
• For technical refunds, your device model and Android version.

Where to send your request

6. Processing Timelines

The final credit timing depends on your bank, card issuer or UPI provider and is outside our control. If a refund has not appeared after 10 business days from the date we confirmed it was initiated, email us and we will share the refund reference number so you can raise it with your bank.

7. How Refunds Are Credited

• Refunds are always returned to the original payment method used for the purchase — the same UPI ID, card, netbanking account or wallet.
• We cannot transfer a refund to a different bank account, UPI ID or person. This is a security and anti-fraud requirement.
• Refunds are issued in Indian Rupees (INR). Any difference caused by your bank's conversion or processing charges is not our responsibility.
• Where a refund is not technically possible to the original method (for example, a closed account), we will contact you and agree an alternative, which may require identity verification.
• A refund confirmation email is sent as soon as the refund is initiated, containing the refund reference number.

8. Failed, Pending or "Money Deducted but Order Failed"

If money was debited but Razorpay shows the transaction as failed or pending, the amount is normally auto-reversed by your bank or UPI provider within 5 to 7 business days, as per RBI guidelines on failed transactions. In most cases no action is needed from you.

If the amount has not been reversed after 7 business days, email us with the debit screenshot, the date, the amount and the UTR/reference number. We will raise a formal dispute with our payment processor on your behalf and keep you updated until it is closed.

Please do not attempt a second payment for the same plan until the first transaction's status is confirmed — this is the most common cause of duplicate charges.

9. Subscriptions and Renewals

• Pro Monthly renews only if you have authorised a recurring mandate. You can withdraw that mandate at any time from your UPI app or bank.
• We send a renewal reminder by email before each renewal date.
• If you are charged for a renewal after you had cancelled before the renewal date, that charge is fully refundable — email us with the cancellation confirmation.
• Cancelling a subscription does not entitle you to a refund for the days already used in the current cycle; access continues until the cycle ends.
• The Lifetime plan is a one-time purchase. It never renews and no further amount is ever charged.

10. Disputes and Chargebacks

We would rather solve a problem directly than see you lose time on a formal dispute. If something has gone wrong, please contact us first — most issues are resolved within 48 hours.

If you nevertheless raise a chargeback or dispute with your bank, card issuer or UPI provider, the associated licence key will be suspended while the dispute is investigated. Filing a chargeback for a licence that was delivered and activated, without first contacting us, may result in permanent deactivation of the key. A duplicate chargeback and an approved refund for the same transaction will be reconciled so you are never over-refunded.

11. Your Rights as a Consumer

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the Information Technology Act, 2000, or any other applicable Indian law — including your right to approach a consumer commission or to seek redress through the National Consumer Helpline (1800-11-4000 / consumerhelpline.gov.in). Where the law gives you a greater right than this policy, the law prevails.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The version in force is the one published on this page on the date of your purchase, and that is the version that applies to your transaction. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always shows the current version. Material changes are notified to registered users by email at least 7 days in advance.
